Do not fear { by Nancy Jo Childress • guest post }

Memorizing Bible verses can be a comfort in so many ways. Recalling familiar Scriptures can carry me through the day, help when a crisis comes, encourage others, bring strength for suffering, and lift me up when I am under pressure.

My personal life-long Bible verse is Isaiah 41:10:

God says, “Do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Other powerful, easy-to-memorize Scriptures:
› God is love.   •   1 John 4:16.
› Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you.   •   1 Peter 5:7.
› My grace is sufficient for you.   •   2 Corinthians 12:9.
› Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.   •   Proverbs 3:5.
› I can do everything through him (Christ) who strengthens me.   •   Philippians 4:13
