Lately I have pretty much been keeping a batch of this guacamole on hand at all times. A splash of balsamic vinegar and a dash of chipotle chile pepper give this recipe a little something extra.
4 small to medium avocados, peeled, stoned & scooped out
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 to 1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon chipotle chile pepper
1/2 small red onion, chopped
- In a medium-sized bowl, mash avocados with fork or potato masher.
- Stir or whisk in all other ingredients.
- Let set about 10 minutes.
- Refrigerate to store.
- If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, be sure to carefully read the labels for condiments and spices. For example, some brands of ingredients (especially sauces, salsas, etc.) may contain gluten and/or soy and/or fish/shellfish and/or carrogeenan (a seaweed-derived food additive difficult for some people to tolerate).
